
12/15/2009 - Michelle Crunk elected Chair of the Birmingham Bar Association Public Service Committee
The mission of the Birmingham Bar Association Public Service Committee is to advance the legal profession’s tradition of service to others by coordinating volunteer and charitable opportunities for members of our bar, organizing and encouraging participation in service projects and utilizing the resources of the legal community to promote the public good. In furtherance of this mission, the committee funds and organizes service projects including Christmas and Valentine’s Day parties for residents of Jefferson County Rehabilitation and Health Center, a rehabilitation and long-term care facility for Jefferson County’s disabled and elderly; back-to-school initiatives for Children’s Village, a home for orphaned, abused or neglected children; book and school supply drives; and “Service Juris,” an annual day of service coordinated with the Magic City Bar and Hands-On Birmingham.
